Bracknell Forest Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) to join our dynamic team in the Qualified Social Work field. As an IRO, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that children in care receive the best possible outcomes and that their voices are heard in the decision-making processes affecting their lives. Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting regular reviews of care plans for children and young people in care. Ensuring that children's views, wishes, and feelings are effectively represented and considered. Collaborating with social workers, foster carers, and other professionals to monitor the progress of care plans. Providing constructive feedback and recommendations to improve the quality of care. Maintaining accurate records and reports in accordance with statutory requirements.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in children's social work, preferably with a focus on children in care. Strong understanding of relevant legislation and statutory guidance.
