Join our dedicated team in Camborne, Cornwall, as a Team Manager for the Children in Care Team, where you will play a vital role in improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people. You will oversee a dynamic team of social workers, ensuring high-quality care and safeguarding practices are upheld. Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing a team of social workers, providing supervision and support to enhance their professional development. Ensuring the delivery of effective and responsive services to children in care and their families. Monitoring and evaluating casework to ensure adherence to best practices and local authority policies. Collaborating with other agencies and stakeholders to promote the welfare of children and young people. Managing budgets and resources efficiently to maximize service delivery.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A relevant social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. A minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience in children’s social work, with significant experience in a managerial or supervisory role. Strong knowledge of legislation, policies, and frameworks relevant to children in care.
