We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Children in Care (CIC) Team in Essex. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of vulnerable children and young people. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively to promote the welfare and safety of children in care, ensuring they receive the support and guidance they need to thrive.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans in line with statutory requirements. Working closely with children, families, and other professionals to provide holistic support. Maintaining accurate case records and documentation, ensuring compliance with local policies and procedures. Attending and contributing to multi-agency meetings and court hearings. Providing direct support to children and young people, advocating for their rights and wishes.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A relevant Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW). Current registration with Social Work England. Proven experience working with children and families, particularly in a care setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport.
