We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Child Protection/Safeguarding Team in Northampton, specifically in the Corby area. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified social work professional to make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable children and families. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children, conducting risk assessments, and implementing safeguarding plans to ensure the wellbeing of those in your care.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify risks and needs. Developing and implementing effective safeguarding plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive outcomes. Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as necessary.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working within child protection or safeguarding settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families. Proficiency in assessment and intervention strategies.
