We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced CIC / LAC Social Worker to join our team in Darlington. As a key member of our Qualified Social Work field, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and intervention services to children in care and children looked after.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Undertaking assessments and developing care plans for children in need Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children Providing direct support and guidance to children and their families Participating in case conferences and reviews to monitor progress and make recommendations for further interventionsThe ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration and experience in CIC / LAC settings Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to child protection and safeguarding Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and stakeholders Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamAdditional requirements for this role include a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for work-related travel. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's SSW to join our CIC Team in Darlington. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children in care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children in care Working collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to support the needs of the children Attending court hearings and reviews to advocate for the best interests of the children Providing emotional support and guidance to children and young people in challenging situations Participating in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions to enhance professional developmentThe essential qualifications and skills for this role include:
Qualified Social Worker with relevant experience in children's services Registration with Social Work England Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex cases Commitment to continuous learning and professional developmentIn addition to the above requirements, candidates with experience in working with children in care or within the CIC Team will be highly desirable.
