We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Child Protection Chair and Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) in Derby City. As a key member of the Qualified Social Work field, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in our community.
Key responsibilities and duties for this position include:
Chairing child protection conferences and reviews to ensure effective decision-making and planning for children at risk Providing guidance and support to social work professionals and partner agencies in complex safeguarding cases Acting as the designated officer for managing allegations against professionals working with children Contributing to the development and implementation of child protection policies and procedures Participating in multi-agency meetings and case discussions to coordinate interventions and support for vulnerable childrenThe essential qualifications and skills required for this role include:
