Join our dedicated team in Devon as a Team Manager for Children & Families, where you will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting a passionate group of social workers. In this key managerial position, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality social work services, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in our community. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a supportive and effective work environment, driving positive outcomes for those we serve.

As a Team Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

Supervising and mentoring a team of qualified social workers, providing guidance and support in complex case management. Developing and implementing effective service delivery strategies that align with statutory requirements and best practices. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure comprehensive support for children and families. Conducting performance evaluations and facilitating professional development opportunities for team members. Managing budgets, resources, and operational processes to enhance service effectiveness.

The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in social work, particularly within children's services. Strong leadership and management abilities, with a track record of successful team development. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
