North East Lincolnshire is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assessment & Safeguarding Social Worker to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role focuses on ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals and families in our community. As an integral part of our social services department, you will conduct thorough assessments, develop tailored support plans, and collaborate with various agencies to promote positive outcomes for children and adults at risk.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of needs and risks for children and families. Developing and implementing effective safeguarding plans in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams. Providing direct support and intervention to families in crisis, ensuring their safety and well-being. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in assessment and safeguarding within a social work setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders. A relevant Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England.
