We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Part Time Supervising Social Worker to join our Fostering Service team in Calderdale. This position offers a competitive rate of £35 per hour and the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children in care.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Supervising and supporting foster carers to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people in their care. Conducting regular home visits and assessments to monitor the well-being and progress of foster placements. Providing guidance and training to foster carers on relevant policies, procedures, and best practices in fostering. Participating in team meetings, case conferences, and reviews to contribute to the overall care planning process. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

Essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England. Demonstrated experience in working within a fostering service, ideally in a supervisory capacity. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations governing child welfare and fostering practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with foster carers and other stakeholders. Ability to work independently, manage a caseload, and prioritize tasks effectively.
