Join our dedicated Children’s Social Work - Care Planning and Support Team in North Yorkshire, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of children and families in need. As a Qualified Social Worker, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of children and families, conducting assessments, and developing care plans that promote the welfare and safety of children. Your expertise will contribute to ensuring that our services are responsive, effective, and aligned with best practices.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding discussions. Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring they understand available resources and services.To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registered with Social Work England. Proven experience in children’s social work, with a strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
