Hertfordshire County Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Out of Hours Team within the Qualified Social Work field. This pivotal role requires an individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals and families. As a Senior Practitioner, you will provide leadership, support, and guidance to a team of social workers, ensuring that high-quality services are delivered during out-of-hours operations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Managing complex cases and providing expert advice on safeguarding and child protection issues. Supervising and mentoring junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous professional development. Conducting assessments and ensuring appropriate interventions are implemented in a timely manner. Collaborating with various agencies to ensure the best outcomes for service users. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with relevant legislation and policy.To be considered for this role, you must possess:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Current registration with Social Work England. A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in a relevant social work setting. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to manage high-pressure situations effectively.
