Join our dedicated team as a Senior Social Worker in the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) in Suffolk, where your expertise will play a vital role in safeguarding vulnerable children and families. This office-based position offers a competitive rate of £42.50 per hour (umbrella) and provides an opportunity to make a significant impact in the community. As a Senior Social Worker, you will lead assessments, provide expert advice, and collaborate with various agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families in need of safeguarding support. Leading and supervising social work staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality practice. Collaborating with partner agencies to develop effective multi-agency plans. Managing a complex caseload while adhering to statutory deadlines and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. Providing training and development opportunities for junior staff and new team members.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in children's social work, with specific experience in safeguarding. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
