Lancashire County Council is seeking a committed Children's Social Worker to join our Duty and Assessment Team. As a Children's Social Worker within our Duty and Assessment Team, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting initial assessments and investigations to determine the needs and risks to children and families. Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and timely case records, ensuring compliance with legislation and local policies. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding processes. Providing support and guidance to families, helping them to access services and resources.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly in assessment and safeguarding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
