Join our dedicated Family Safeguarding Team in Lancashire as a Qualified Social Worker specializing in Children's Services. In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively with families to ensure the safety and well-being of children while promoting positive outcomes. You will engage with families to assess their needs, develop tailored intervention plans, and provide ongoing support. Your expertise will be crucial in managing complex cases, conducting assessments, and implementing safeguarding measures that prioritize children's welfare.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify risks and support needs. Developing and implementing child protection plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in accordance with local policies and procedures. Participating in multi-agency meetings to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding. Providing guidance and support to families, helping them access relevant services and resources.To thrive in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and child protection. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families and colleagues.
