Are you a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker looking to make a positive impact in the lives of children and families? West Sussex County Council is seeking an experienced Children's Social Worker to join our Assessment and Intervention Team. As a Children's Social Worker in the Assessment and Intervention Team, your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing intervention plans to support children and their families. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a holistic approach to care. Maintaining accurate and timely records in accordance with statutory requirements. Providing support and guidance to families, empowering them to make positive changes.

To be considered for this role, you must hold a relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Essential skills and qualifications include:

Proven experience in children's social work, particularly in assessment and intervention. Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding policies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a caseload. Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
