We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Child Protection team in Loughborough, Leicestershire. This pivotal role is essential in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in our community. As a Senior Social Worker, you will lead assessments, develop intervention plans, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide the highest quality of care and support.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families in need of support. Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans that address the unique needs of each case. Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely interventions and follow-ups. Providing guidance and supervision to junior social workers and support staff. Collaborating with external agencies, schools, and healthcare providers to ensure holistic support for families. Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony as required.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A relevant degree in Social Work and a valid Social Work England registration. Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with vulnerable families.
