We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Child Protection/Child in Need (CP/CIN) Team in Lowestoft, Suffolk. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional to make a meaningful impact within the community while enjoying a competitive pay rate of £40.50 per hour (umbrella). You will play a crucial role in safeguarding children and supporting families, ensuring the best possible outcomes for vulnerable individuals.
As a Senior Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective care plans that prioritize child safety and well-being. Collaborating with multi-agency teams to ensure a holistic approach to service delivery. Providing supervision and guidance to junior social workers and support staff. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local policies and procedures.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. Significant experience working within child protection settings, particularly in CP/CIN. Strong assessment and analytical skills with the ability to make informed decisions.
