We are seeking a dedicated Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Looked After Children (LAC) Team in Luton, offering a competitive rate of £38 per hour (umbrella). Key responsibilities include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and their families to inform care planning. Developing and implementing effective care plans, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated. Providing direct support and interventions to children and young people, enhancing their emotional and social well-being. Maintaining accurate and timely case records, adhering to local policies and statutory requirements. Collaborating with educational institutions, health services, and other relevant agencies to promote the best outcomes for children.Essential qualifications and skills include:
A valid Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England (SWE). Proven experience working with Looked After Children and knowledge of relevant legislation and policies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
