We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Looked After Children (LAC) Team in Luton. As a vital member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and intervention services to children and families in need.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Undertaking assessments and creating care plans for children in care Conducting home visits and liaising with relevant stakeholders Attending court hearings and providing evidence-based reports Participating in multi-agency meetings to ensure the well-being of children Offering emotional support and guidance to children and familiesThe ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree or equivalent Registered with Social Work England Demonstrated experience in working with Looked After Children Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively under pressure and in challenging situationsAdditional requirements for this role include a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle, as home visits are an integral part of the role.
