We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Duty & Assessment Team as an AFC- Senior Prac. This position offers an attractive rate of £39.04 per hour on an umbrella basis. As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families within our community. Your expertise will contribute to the effective assessment of needs and the delivery of high-quality interventions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing tailored support plans for children and families. Providing supervision and support to junior staff and social work students, fostering a culture of learning and development. Collaborating with multi-agency teams to ensure a holistic approach to service delivery. Managing complex case loads, ensuring timely and effective interventions. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, CSS, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Extensive experience in child protection and assessment within a statutory setting. Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a proven ability to manage complex cases. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
