Join our dedicated team in Northumberland as a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) in the Children’s Services Child Protection (CP) Team. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate professional who is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families. As a Qualified Social Worker in the CP Team, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Managing a caseload of children and families, ensuring timely interventions and support. Participating in multi-agency meetings to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding. Providing support and guidance to children and families, advocating for their needs and rights. Documenting casework accurately and maintaining up-to-date records in compliance with legislation and policy.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
