West Berkshire is seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join our Family Placement Team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and stability of children in care, while also supporting their families. As a Children's Social Worker within our Family Placement Team, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify their needs and strengths. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing ongoing support and intervention to families, ensuring the best outcomes for children. Working closely with foster carers, adoptive families, and other stakeholders to facilitate placements. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly in family placement or fostering. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
