Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and families? North Yorkshire County Council is seeking a qualified Children’s Social Worker to join our Fostering Team. As a Children’s Social Worker in the Fostering Team, your key responsibilities will include:
Assessing and preparing foster carers, ensuring they meet the required standards for fostering. Conducting home visits and completing comprehensive assessments of children’s needs. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing ongoing support and supervision to foster families, promoting positive placements. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly in a fostering or child protection setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships.
