Join our dedicated Children's Social Work - Looked After Children (LAC) Team in Rutland, where your expertise can make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and their families. We are seeking a passionate and qualified social worker who is committed to improving outcomes for children in care. In this role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and partner agencies to provide comprehensive assessments, support, and interventions that promote the welfare and development of looked after children.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and strengths. Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, families, and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory and organizational requirements. Working closely with foster carers and residential staff to ensure the best outcomes for children. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of policies and practices.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with looked after children and knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
