Join our dedicated Child Protection Team in Penzance, Cornwall, as a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) and make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable children and families. As a QSW in the Child Protection Team, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing intervention plans that promote the safety and well-being of children. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a holistic approach to child protection. Maintaining accurate and timely case records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Providing support and guidance to families, empowering them to make positive changes.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
