We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Leaving Care team in Peterborough on a competitive hourly rate of £42.50 (umbrella). This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified social worker who is passionate about supporting young people as they transition from care to independent living. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our young people receive the guidance and support they need to thrive in their new environments.
As a Senior Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:
Managing a caseload of young people, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs. Conducting assessments and developing care plans in collaboration with young people and relevant stakeholders. Facilitating workshops and training sessions aimed at enhancing life skills and promoting independence. Working closely with external agencies and community resources to ensure comprehensive support for young people. Supervising and mentoring junior staff, providing guidance and sharing best practices.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Diploma in Social Work, BA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience working with young people in a leaving care context. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to develop effective care plans.
