We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our CP/Court Team in Plymouth. This role involves working with vulnerable children and families, ensuring their safety and well-being through effective intervention and support.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Undertaking assessments and investigations to safeguard children at risk of harm Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families, colleagues, and external agencies Attending court hearings and providing evidence to support child protection cases Working closely with children, young people, and their families to address their needs and promote positive outcomes Participating in multi-agency meetings and reviews to ensure coordinated support for children and familiesEssential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration Experience working within Children's Services, particularly in child protection and court proceedings Strong assessment and analytical skills to make informed decisions about child welfare Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children and families Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and with external partnersAdditional requirements and benefits:
