Are you a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and young people? Denbighshire County Council is seeking a dynamic individual for the position of Qualified Social Worker (QSW) in the Children and Young People Services (CYPS) team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment where you can develop your skills while contributing to the well-being and safeguarding of vulnerable children and their families.

As a QSW in CYPS, you will be responsible for a range of critical duties, including:

Assessing the needs of children and families and developing appropriate care plans. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for children. Conducting home visits and maintaining effective relationships with children, families, and external agencies. Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive parenting and improve family dynamics. Keeping accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and local policies.

The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Care Wales. Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
