We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our CP/Court Team in North Yorkshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people under the care of the local authority.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Conducting assessments and investigations to determine the needs and risks faced by children and families. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and relevant stakeholders. Attending court hearings and providing evidence to support decision-making processes. Working closely with partner agencies to ensure holistic support for children and families. Participating in case conferences, reviews, and multi-agency meetings to monitor progress and outcomes.Essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a relevant social work degree and HCPC registration. Demonstrated experience in child protection, court work, and statutory social work with children and families. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child welfare. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals. Ability to work autonomously, manage a complex caseload, and make informed decisions under pressure.Additional requirements or benefits:
