Salford City is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker specializing in Child Protection to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families within our community. You will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to ensure that children are protected from harm and that their needs are met effectively.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans to address the needs of children and families. Working closely with children, parents, and caregivers to provide support and guidance. Investigating allegations of abuse or neglect and taking appropriate action to ensure child safety. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and documentation in accordance with legal requirements. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of safeguarding policies.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children and families.
