We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Social Work - CIC Team in Southampton. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families within our community. As a member of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services, ensuring the safety and well-being of children in care, and promoting positive outcomes for vulnerable young people.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children's needs and risks, developing and implementing care plans. Working collaboratively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure appropriate support and interventions are in place. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with statutory requirements. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of safeguarding strategies. Providing support and guidance to foster carers and residential staff to enhance the care provided to children.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly within a looked-after children context. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
