We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Children's Social Worker to join our Early Help Team in Southend-on-Sea. In this role, you will be responsible for providing vital support and intervention to children and families in need, with a focus on early intervention and prevention.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Assessing the needs of children and families and developing tailored support plans Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to coordinate services and interventions Providing direct support to children and families in crisis situations Advocating for the rights and best interests of children and young people Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reportsThe ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification Registered with Social Work England Demonstrated experience working with children and families in a social work setting Strong assessment and analytical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsIn addition to the above, candidates with experience in child protection, safeguarding, and court work will be highly desirable. Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children and families requiring support Providing direct intervention and support to children and families in crisis Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure the best outcomes for children Participating in case conferences and reviews to monitor progress and make recommendations for further interventions Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventionsEssential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a relevant social work degree and HCPC registration Experience working within a children's social work setting, preferably within early help services Strong assessment and analytical skills to identify risks and develop appropriate interventions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and professionals Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseloadAdditional requirements or benefits:
