We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) to join our Children in Need (CIN) team in Southend-on-Sea. Conducting independent reviews of care plans for children in the CIN cohort, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Providing expert advice and guidance to social work teams and contributing to the development of best practices. Preparing comprehensive reports and documentation for review meetings and court hearings.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
Social Work degree or equivalent qualification, registered with Social Work England. Extensive experience in children’s social work, with a strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures. Proven ability to engage with children and families, demonstrating empathy and effective communication skills. Strong analytical and report-writing skills, with attention to detail.
