Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and families? Staffordshire County Council is seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s SP - CIC Team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with children in care, their families, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for vulnerable children. You will be responsible for assessing needs, developing care plans, and providing ongoing support to children and families in a variety of settings.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify their needs and strengths. Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, families, and other stakeholders. Providing direct support and intervention to children and families, ensuring their voices are heard and respected. Working collaboratively with multi-agency teams to ensure holistic support for children in care. Maintaining accurate and timely records in line with local and national standards.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience in child protection and working with children in care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
