We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Children's & Families Team in Stockton. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families, providing essential support and guidance to those in need. As a Senior Social Worker, you will lead case management efforts, drive best practices, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and their families.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing tailored intervention plans for children and families. Providing supervision and support to junior social workers and social work students. Engaging with families, schools, and community organizations to foster a collaborative approach to intervention. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with regulatory standards. Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence when required.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, CSS, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England (or equivalent regulatory body). Significant experience in children's social work, particularly within child protection and family support. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
