We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Social Worker to join our Assessment & Child Protection Team in Swindon. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting assessments and providing support to children and families in need.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Undertaking comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify risks and develop appropriate intervention plans. Managing a caseload of children subject to child protection plans, ensuring their safety and well-being. Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners, including schools, health professionals, and the police, to safeguard children at risk of harm. Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and reviews to advocate for the best interests of the child.The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA in Social Work). Registered with Social Work England and up-to-date with CPD requirements. Demonstrated experience in child protection, assessment, and working with vulnerable children and families. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with service users.Additional requirements for this role may include a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for work-related travel.
