Join our dedicated team in Somerset as a Child Protection Conference Chair, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding the welfare of children and families within our community. In this pivotal position, you will lead multi-agency meetings to assess risk, develop plans, and ensure that the voices of children and families are heard and respected. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving forward child protection initiatives and fostering collaboration among various stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Facilitating child protection conferences and ensuring effective communication among all participants. Assessing the needs and risks of children and families, developing comprehensive care plans. Providing guidance and support to social workers and other professionals involved in child protection. Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to child welfare. Monitoring and reviewing the progress of child protection plans, making adjustments as necessary.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent). Significant experience in child protection and multi-agency working. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families. In-depth knowledge of child protection legislation and best practices. Ability to remain calm and make informed decisions in high-pressure situations.

The Children's CPC - CP Team in Somerset is seeking a committed individual to join our team. In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children in our community.

As a member of the Children's CPC - CP Team, your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing child protection plans in partnership with families and other agencies. Managing a caseload effectively, maintaining accurate records and documentation. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to strategy discussions. Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive outcomes for children.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, BA Hons in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working in child protection or with children in care.
