Join Telford and Wrekin Council as a Senior Qualified Social Worker in our Family Safeguarding Team, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and families within our community. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced social worker to contribute to a team dedicated to safeguarding vulnerable children while promoting positive family outcomes. We are looking for a passionate individual who can provide leadership, mentorship, and support to junior staff, driving best practices in child protection and family support.

As a Senior Qualified Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

Assessing and managing complex cases involving children and families in need of safeguarding interventions. Developing and implementing tailored care plans that address the unique needs of each family. Providing supervision and support to social work staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a holistic approach to family safeguarding. Maintaining accurate and timely case records in compliance with statutory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Significant post-qualification experience in child protection and family safeguarding. Strong assessment, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with families and professionals. Proven leadership abilities and a commitment to professional development.

Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and families? Telford and Wrekin is seeking a qualified Children’s Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding Team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families to ensure their safety and well-being, providing support and guidance to help them overcome challenges and thrive. Your expertise will be crucial in assessing needs, developing care plans, and implementing interventions that promote positive outcomes for children.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing ongoing support and intervention to families in crisis, ensuring the safety and welfare of children. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local policies and procedures. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding discussions.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
