We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding Team in Walsall. As a vital member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and interventions to families in need, with a focus on safeguarding children and promoting their welfare.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans for families to address safeguarding concerns Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to provide holistic support to families Undertaking direct work with children and families, including home visits and case conferences Participating in court proceedings and providing evidence as required Ensuring all work is carried out in line with relevant legislation and best practice guidelinesThe successful candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England Demonstrated experience in child protection and safeguarding work within a social work setting Excellent assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make evidence-based decisions Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families and professionals Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseloadAdditional requirements for this role include a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for work purposes. Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children at risk Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of children Participating in case conferences and reviews to monitor progress and make recommendations for ongoing support Providing direct support and intervention to children and families in crisis situations Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reportsThe ideal candidate for this position will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
