We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Social Worker to join our Safeguarding & Support South Team in Wiltshire. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and supporting vulnerable children and families in the local community.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Undertake assessments and make informed decisions to ensure the safety and well-being of children at risk. Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with children, families, and partner agencies. Provide direct support and intervention to children and families in crisis situations. Conduct home visits, attend meetings, and represent the department in court proceedings as required. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements and departmental policies.Essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification and HCPC registration. Demonstrated experience working in a similar role within children's services, with a strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and procedures. Excellent assessment, communication, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure. A commitment to continuous professional development and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families.Additional requirements and benefits:
