Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and families? Join our dynamic Support and Protect Team in Workington, where we are committed to safeguarding vulnerable children and promoting their well-being. We are seeking a qualified Children's Social Worker who is eager to contribute to our mission and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

As a Children's Social Worker, you will be responsible for a range of key duties, including:

Assessing the needs and circumstances of children and families to ensure their safety and well-being. Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals. Conducting home visits and maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records. Providing support and guidance to families to foster positive relationships and promote resilience. Participating in court proceedings and representing the best interests of the child.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
