Lincolnshire County Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Child Protection Practitioner to join our dynamic team in the Qualified Social Work field. This pivotal role will allow you to make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable children and families across Lincolnshire. As a Lead Practitioner, you will provide expert guidance, support, and leadership to social work teams while ensuring the highest standards of child protection practice are maintained.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading and supervising a team of social workers, providing mentorship and support to enhance their professional development. Conducting complex assessments and developing tailored intervention plans to safeguard children and promote their welfare. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a coordinated approach to child protection. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. Contributing to the development and implementation of child protection policies and procedures.To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and professionals.
