Join our dedicated team at Lewisham as a Senior Qualified Social Worker (Sr. QSW) in the Family First Contact Point Team. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families within our community. Your expertise will guide assessments and interventions, ensuring that vulnerable families receive the support they need to thrive.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and partner agencies. Providing expert supervision and support to junior social workers and staff. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with legal and organizational standards. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to strategic planning initiatives.To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. Significant experience in child protection and family support services. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgements.
