We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our team in Luton, specializing in Looked After Children (LAC) services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work support to children and families, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Undertaking assessments and creating care plans for Looked After Children in line with statutory requirements. Working collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to support positive outcomes for children in care. Attending court hearings, reviews, and meetings to represent the best interests of the children. Providing direct support, guidance, and intervention to children and young people in challenging situations. Participating in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions to enhance professional practice and knowledge.

Essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration. Demonstrated experience working within a LAC setting, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies. Excellent assessment, communication, and decision-making skills. Ability to build rapport with children, young people, and families from diverse backgrounds. A commitment to continuous professional development and upholding ethical standards in social work practice.
