Join our dedicated Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team in Middlesbrough as an Advanced Practitioner. In this pivotal role, you will provide expert support and guidance to social workers while ensuring the highest standards of care for children with disabilities and their families. You will be responsible for leading assessments, developing and implementing care plans, and promoting the well-being and safety of children in our community.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families, identifying their needs and strengths. Developing and reviewing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing supervision and mentoring to junior social workers, enhancing their professional development. Ensuring compliance with local and national policies and legislation. Building strong relationships with families, advocating for their voices and choices.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. Significant post-qualification experience in children’s social work, particularly in disability services. Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage complex cases. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working in partnership with families and professionals.
