Are you an experienced social worker looking to make a significant impact in the lives of children and families? We are seeking a Non Case Holding - Lead CP (Child Protection) for our Cheshire West CP Team. This role is a unique opportunity to lead and support our dedicated team of social workers, ensuring the highest standards of child protection practice are maintained across the service.

As the Non Case Holding - Lead CP, you will be responsible for overseeing case management practices, providing expert guidance, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Your key responsibilities will include:

Leading and mentoring a team of social workers to enhance their professional development and practice. Conducting regular audits of case files to ensure quality and adherence to child protection policies. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to safeguard children and promote their welfare. Facilitating training sessions and workshops to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members. Providing strategic input to service development and improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess a recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, you should have:

A minimum of 3 years post-qualifying experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong leadership and management skills with a proven track record in a supervisory role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, families, and professionals. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in child protection.
