Are you a dedicated and experienced social worker looking to make a significant impact in the lives of children and families? Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking a Lead Child Protection Practitioner to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves leading child protection cases, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality support and intervention.

As a Lead Child Protection Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:

Leading and managing complex child protection cases, ensuring adherence to statutory guidelines. Conducting thorough assessments and developing detailed care plans in collaboration with families and relevant stakeholders. Providing guidance and support to social work staff, fostering a culture of continuous professional development. Building and maintaining strong relationships with external agencies, promoting effective communication and teamwork. Monitoring and evaluating case progress, ensuring timely interventions and reporting to senior management.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Extensive experience in child protection and safeguarding, with a proven track record of managing complex cases. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to promoting best practices in child welfare.
