Oldham Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Assessment & Intervention team. As a vital member of our team, you will play a critical role in assessing the needs of children and families, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting positive outcomes. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality social care services within our community.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements. Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding discussions. Staying informed about legislation, policies, and best practices in social work.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, or DipSW). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with diverse families.
