We are currently seeking a dedicated Out of Hours Social Worker to join our team in Stockport. In this role, you will be responsible for providing emergency social work support outside of regular office hours, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals in crisis situations.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Responding to urgent and emergency referrals from various agencies and members of the public Conducting assessments and interventions to safeguard children and adults at risk Working collaboratively with emergency services, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders Providing crisis intervention and support to individuals and families in distress Completing detailed and accurate records of all interactions and interventions

Essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England Experience in a similar role, preferably within a statutory social work setting Strong assessment and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work autonomously and make sound judgments independently

Additional requirements:

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays on a rota basis Driving license and access to a vehicle for travel within the Stockport area Commitment to ongoing professional development and training opportunities
