We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Child Protection/Child in Need (CP/CIN) Team in Cambridgeshire on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is committed to making a difference in the lives of children and families. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively to assess, plan, and implement effective interventions that promote the safety and well-being of vulnerable children.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored care plans in line with statutory guidance and best practice. Working closely with families and other professionals to ensure effective multi-agency collaboration. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Providing support and guidance to families, empowering them to achieve positive outcomes. Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence when necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with families. Knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks, including Children Act 1989 and 2004.
