Join our dedicated team as a Permanent Children's Social Worker in the MASH Team at Barking & Dagenham. This role is crucial in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in our community. You will work collaboratively with a multi-agency team to assess needs, provide support, and ensure that children's voices are heard and considered in all decisions affecting their lives.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments and developing appropriate plans for children and families. Working closely with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children. Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely interventions and support services are provided. Participating in team meetings, case conferences, and court proceedings as necessary. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with local authority and statutory requirements.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW). Current Social Work England registration. Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
