The London Borough of Haringey is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Safeguarding Support & Court Team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable children and families within our community. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in need of protection and support.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Preparing and presenting evidence in court to support child protection proceedings. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Providing support and guidance to families, promoting positive change and resilience. Working closely with multi-agency partners to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience working in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and court processes. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively.
