We are seeking a dedicated and experienced PLO Reviewing Officer to join our dynamic social work team in Swindon. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the needs of children and families are met through effective planning and review processes. As a PLO Reviewing Officer, you will be responsible for managing and facilitating the Public Law Outline (PLO) process, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements while promoting best practices in child welfare.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments and reviews of cases under the PLO framework. Collaborating with social workers, legal teams, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive care plans. Facilitating PLO meetings and ensuring all parties are informed and engaged in the process. Monitoring progress and outcomes for children and families, providing timely feedback and recommendations. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with local authority policies.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Extensive experience in child protection and legal processes, particularly within the PLO framework. Strong analytical and assessment skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
